Four decades of Greater Seattle ground experience, led by a team that has estimated, managed, and built site development across the region — now driving Riverton into its next era.
Riverton is run by people who have spent their careers in the dirt and behind the numbers — combining decades of field and estimating experience with a renewed commitment to the clients and communities we serve.

Salvador acquired 100% of Riverton Contractors in December 2025, taking the helm of a company with four decades of Greater Seattle ground beneath it. He brings new energy, capital, and drive — investing in capacity, modern systems, and the certifications that position Riverton for larger commercial, institutional, and public work. His mission: honor the crews and reputation built since 1982 while taking the company to the next level.

John brings more than 25 years of estimating and project management across residential and commercial site development — land development, underground utilities, and mass grading. His background spans heavy-civil infrastructure at Graham Construction plus estimating and PM leadership at Shelcon and CDI. Fluent in Quest, Earthworks, Timberline/Sage, InEight, and Bluebeam, he turns plans into precise, competitive numbers and keeps projects on schedule from preconstruction through closeout.

Randy has over 30 years estimating civil construction, including 29 years as Vice President and co-owner of Lainhart Excavating. His expertise runs deep in underground utilities, earthwork, erosion control, clearing, demolition, asphalt, and concrete — backed by a full command of geotechnical reports, feasibility studies, and value engineering. Known for take-offs among the best in the business, he makes sure every bid is organized, detailed, and cost-effective before it goes out the door.

Founded in 1982, Riverton Contractors has operated continuously for four decades in the Greater Seattle area, earning a reputation for reliable execution in excavation, underground utilities, grading, and site preparation. Over that time we've built the kind of trust that only comes from showing up, doing the work right, and passing inspection the first time.
In December 2025, Salvador Herrera acquired 100% ownership of Riverton — carrying its legacy of craftsmanship forward while investing in growth, capacity, and a renewed commitment to the clients and communities we serve. Today Riverton is a 100% Hispanic-owned business and a Washington State Certified DBE, combining seasoned field and estimating leadership with a sharpened focus on service, schedule, and accountability.
Riverton is actively expanding — adding capacity, holding our Washington State DBE certification, and pursuing SBA 8(a) certification to take on larger commercial, institutional, and public projects. As we grow, we're prioritizing opportunity for skilled people from the communities we work in.
